Storing concentrates so they last
Heat, light and air are what degrade a good extract. Three habits that keep the last dab as good as the first.
Concentrates degrade for the same three reasons most things do: heat, light and oxygen. Address those and a jar stays close to how it left the lab for months rather than weeks.
Keep it cool and consistent. A cupboard away from a window beats a shelf above a stove, and a fridge beats both if you let the jar come back to room temperature before opening it — condensation inside a cold jar introduces water you don't want.
Keep it closed. Every minute the lid is off, the most volatile and most flavourful compounds are leaving. Take what you need and close it.
Use a clean tool every time. Introducing residue from a previous session is the fastest way to make a good extract taste like an old one.
